Strictly star Alex Scott's cryptic Instagram posts explain a lot about her love life

Alex Scott has battled back from switching partners when pro dancer Alex Jones was injured in training to win the hearts of both fans at home and the judges.

Kevin Clifton was drafted in for two weeks to partner the former England player.

Now football pundit Alex is back with her original dance pro and has been watching her scores soar as she wows on the dance floor.

And her can do attitude mean the former Arsenal player now has a legion of new fans, all cheering her on to win the Glitterball trophy.

Her supporters were livid when her appearance on It Takes Two was ruined by sound issues.

Neil and Alex's chat had to be cut short as they discussed their incredible Blackpool performance.

Unaware of the "sound issues", Alex carried on chatting until Zoe had to stop the pair and apologise to viewers for the problem.

The pair's interview was replaced by a massive glitterball on the screen with the message: "We apologise for the sound problems."

This was in turn replaced by pre-recorded footage of Strictly professionals Johannes Radebe and Luba Mushtuk demonstrating a jive.

Eventually, the trio popped back on the screen - and they had sorted the problem by giving Alex a microphone to hold.

Alex posted a cryptic Instagram image that hinted she was using dating apps (Instagram)

But one thing Alex remains quiet about is her love life.

Although she admits she's single, it's not clear if she's dating at the moment.

She told Hello: "I'm single but it's not like I need to find someone.

"I like things to happen organically and if someone comes into my life and we get on, then great.

"It's not like I go searching for it."

But a sneak peak at Alex's Instagram reveal a very different story.

On Valentine's Day, along with selfies including the heart emoji, Alex wrote: "Oh February... when you walk into a card shop to get a birthday card but it's all about Valentine's Day on every shelf."

But by June it seemed the soccer star was thinking about putting herself out there for dates.

A series of pictures show her holding her phone in her hand with the caption "swipe left., swipe right".

Was this a hint that she was using dating apps?
