Strictly Come Dancing spoiler rattles fans as judges come under fire again for their scores

Concerned Strictly Come Dancing fans have been rattled by this week's result, with a fan favourite put in danger of going.

Many were even too scared to read this week's spoiler after Saturday's leaderboard paved the way for a big upset, thanks to what were swiftly deemed 'dodgy' scores from the judges.

Five couples competed in this weekend's quarter final and with the pressure on, there were two very costly mistakes as firstly, John and Johannes and then AJ and Kai both had mistakes at the end of their routines, with lifts going wrong.

Having landed in the bottom two for a third time last week, Rhys Stephenson tied at the top of the standings with his superb Argentine Tango getting a near perfect 39 out of 40, the same score Rose-Ayling Ellis got for her American Smooth.

AJ and Kai's mistake cost them dear, with them getting their worst score so far - 30 - and finishing bottom.

The scores had Strictly fans worried about the result and, when the spoiler leaked shortly after 10.30pm, there were shockwaves sent through Twitter.

One posted: "at my big age i’m crying over strictly come dancing spoilers," with another tweeting about one of the couples in danger, writing: "sad about them being in the dance off cause i really didn't think they deserved it."

Others admitted to being too scared to even read this week's outcome, with the incredibly tight leaderboard meaning anything could have happened.

The results will be officially revealed on BBC1 on Sunday night, right after the Doctor Who finale.

The musical guests this week are JLS, who have just released their comeback album 2.0.
