Strictly spoiler leak leaves fans confused as popular contestant exits

Strictly Come Dancing will lose one more celebrity on Sunday night - and fans have been left confused by the exit.

A fan favourite is set to depart the show this week in a tense dance-off, and fans have taken to Twitter as they reel over the result.

This week's show marked the half way mark but no doubt every celebrity is in it to win it and wants to go all the way to the final for a chance to lift the Glitterball trophy.

Mirror Online has chosen not to reveal the celebrity who is exiting the show this week, but the news has left fans shocked as the celebrity was very popular with viewers at home.

Viewers were thrilled with standout performances by AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington, who topped the leaderboard for their Charleston, and Tom Fletcher and Amy Dowden's traditional Paso Doble, which secured them their highest score of the series.

Elsewhere, Adam Peaty and Katya Jones performed a high-energy Jive to Little Bitty Pretty One by Frankie Lymon & The Teenagers. It was a Quickstep for Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu whilst Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice impressed with their Samba.

Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzman took on the Tango to Ava Max's track Kings & Queens, whilst John Whaite and Johannes Radebe left viewers in tears as they danced a romantic Rumba to Shape Of My Heart by Sting.

Dan Walker and Nadiya Bychkova did a Couple's Choice routine to Classic by MKTO and even incorporated the viral TikTok dance into their performance. Sara Davies and Aljaž Škorjanec did the Quickstep to 9 To 5 by Dolly Parton.

Whilst some will no doubt be shocked by the decision, others said it was the right thing for the show.

"Ridiculous," one wrote on Twitter as the identity was revealed.

Another said they were "gutted" for one of the couple's in the dance off and said the bottom two was "shocking".

"I wish they could have stayed for another week," a third person shared online.

Strictly Come Dancing's judges - Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anton du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood - likely had a tough decision to choose between the two contestants as both tried hard with their performances on Saturday night.
