Strictly's Will Bayley opens up about how his shoes have been adapted for disability

Will Bayley has opened up about how his shoes have been adapted for his disability on Strictly Come Dancing .

The Paralympian, 31, was born with arthrogryosis, which affects all four of his limbs.

However his partner Janette Manrara, who appeared on It Takes Two with him today, said that he had managed to adapt so much to the dances that she often forgot about his disability.

Asked by host Zoe Ball whether she tailored her training for his disability, she said: "I always try to showcase their strengths and I think Will has so many strengths."

Will added: "I thought someone would be softer on me in the training hall because they might be, 'Oh Will'... but she's the opposite! We were doing lifts today and I kept falling over and she was like, 'It's your core! Use your core!'

"I was like, 'I think it might be my feet' and she's like, 'No, it's your core!'"

He then showed how his shoes had been adapted, saying: "They're built up on the side because I always go over on the side of my foot [...] so it keeps me straight."

Janette added that they had the biggest show fitting and that he had four different pairs of shoes to wear.

Earlier, Will admitted that he had felt very emotional after performing his first dance.

"I was emotional. It was just from a couple of weeks ago [when] I was falling over," Will said.

Janette said: "He worked so so hard, he didn't take lunch breaks."

"A dream, dream student, I couldn't ask for better," she added.
