Strictly's Tilly Ramsay says Waltz made dad Gordon cry as she praises partner Nikita

Strictly Come Dancing's Tilly Ramsay has revealed that her dad Gordon was in tears when he watched her first live performance.

Fiery TV chef Gordon wasn't in the studio watching Tilly last Saturday due to work, but he did watch her dance the Waltz on television.

Appearing on BBC Two's It Takes Two with her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin, Tilly admitted she was "so, so nervous" ahead of their first live dance.

Nikita then added: "It was such an emotional night, I just tried not to cry."

Host Rylan Clark-Neal was quick to comment on the fact that Tilly's mum Tana Ramsay was seen crying as she watched the pair in the audience.

"I know you had your mum in tears, but what about daddy? What did he say?" Rylan asked 19-year-old Tilly.

"He said that he cried as well though, so I moved them all to tears, I guess that's a good thing!" Tilly answered.

Nikita went on to confirm that Gordon will be in the audience watching them this weekend, and he has a bone to pick with the 54-year-old.

Gordon had an issue with how many buttons were undone on Nikita's shirt last weekend, but it seems he's not really one to talk as he once exposed his chest during a comical TikTok performance with daughter Tilly.

"He's coming Saturday and this is going to be the first thing I'm going to show him," Nikita said, referring to the hilarious video.

"I'm loving it, it's knackering and I am sweating buckets and it's so unglamorous, but I love it and I don't really want to stop when I'm doing it," she told Rylan.

The blonde star went on to praise Nikita after he revealed he "couldn't have wished for a better partner" for his first year on Strictly Come Dancing.

"Thank you, I couldn't wish for a better partner too," she told him, as Rylan declared: "It's all love!"

Strictly Come Dancing continues this Saturday at 6:45pm on BBC One.
