Strictly's Tilly Ramsay calls out radio presenter who called her 'chubby little thing' on air

A Strictly Come Dancing contestant has called out an LBC radio presenter who called her a 'chubby little thing' on national radio.

19-year-old Matilda Ramsay, who is also known as Tilly, had the body-shaming comments made against her by Steve Allen live on air.

Steve said of Gordon Ramsay's daughter : "Tilly Ramsay is on Celebrity MasterChef Australia, is she, well she can't blimming well dance, I'm bored with her already.

"She's a chubby little thing isn't she? Have you noticed? Probably her dad's cooking I imagine."

Tilly shared a clip of the presenter bad-mouthing her appearance with a statement in response to his remarks. She wrote on Instagram: "Steve please feel free to voice your opinions however I draw the line at commenting on my appearance.

"Please remember that words can hurt and at the end of the day I am only 19 and I'm so grateful for all the amazing opportunities I have been able to take part in, and I understand that being in the public eye obviously comes with it's own repercussions.

"However, I won't tolerate people that think it's okay to publicly comment and scrutinise anyone's weight and appearance."

Strictly star Giovanni Pernice wrote: "Some people are very nasty !! Don’t listen to this crap .. we love You girl! #bekind ", and fellow Strictly contestant Rose Ayling commented: "You're beautiful Tilly!"

Tilly's dancing partner Nikita Kuzman commented a red heart accompanied by #bekind.

Another contestant Strictly John Whaites also showed his love for Tilly as he commented: "He’s a piece of old sandpaper love, worn and used and has nothing to offer the world. And his vicious scratching has only left you polished and more fabulous. Love you."
