Strictly's Shirley Ballas suffers wardrobe malfunction moments before she goes on air

Shirley Ballas shared her panic with her Instagram followers as she suffered a wardrobe malfunction moments before Strictly Come Dancing went live.

An embarrassed Shirley was quickly being put back together by her group of stylists after the zip broke on the dress she was wearing for the third week of the hit show.

She posted an Instagram video to explain the emerging drama, but somehow the judge managed to keep her cool with just five minutes before she had to go on air.

"Okay, so, we've got a little drama here because the zip on the dress has gone, and we have to get out there live and a TV doesn't wait for anybody," she calmly said.

Shirley pointed the camera to one of her ladies, Mel, who was laughing and said: "I've got these lovely women and they're all waiting in the background - and my lady here, Mel, is panicking and having a panic attack."

She cheekily added: "Anyway so see you out there, don't forget to vote."

The 59-year-old was wearing a gorgeous blue one shoulder dress while her dark locks were curled, showcasing her chunky sparkly earrings and smoky eye makeup.

Meanwhile her video caption read: "When your zip goes five minutes before going live on strictly. Everyone panicking oh dear."

But fans jumped in to reassure Shirley as her meltdown continued.

One complimented: "Noooooooo! That dress looks wonderful though"

And another wrote: "Aww nooo! What a coincidence. crossing my fingers it can be sorted in 1 minute," followed by a thumbs up emoji.

Others wished the judge good luck and to have fun on the live show.

It happened as the judge was ready for week three of the show (BBC)

Last week's show saw James Cracknell be the first celebrity to get booted off Strictly after just two weeks of dancing with his partner Luba Mushtuk.

And tomorrow night a second celebrity will put down their dancing shoes and go home as the battle of making it to the final continues.
