Shirley Ballas dropped the bombshell she stopped herself eating until she was gaunt.
The Strictly Come Dancing judge, 59, has now voiced her insecurities about sitting next to the "really beautiful lady" Darcey Bussell on the BBC dance show last year.
In a new interview, the dance pro wouldn't eat because she felt envious of Darcey's ballerina figure.
However, Shirley expressed her utmost admiration for Darcey when she compared her to Snow White as she remarked upon her beauty.
She told The Daily Mail : "When I first went on Strictly I had a little phase at the beginning, you know, when I was sat next to this really beautiful lady, Darcey Bussell — this ballerina, this Snow White beauty — that I stopped eating until I looked at myself and realised I looked so gaunt."
However, Shirley clarified it was rooted in her own insecurities about her body as she had never felt "up to scratch" as a woman for her whole life.
She added: "My whole life I’ve never felt, as a female, I was up to scratch."
Darcey stepped down from her judging post after seven years on the dancing show.
She shot down rumours there was any rivalry between herself and Shirley.
She told The Daily Telegraph at the time: “Of course I get on with Shirley. She’s hysterical, she’s got a great sense of humour, and I totally respect her amazing amount of knowledge.
“She’s great to be with.”
The new interview comes after Shirley death threats after Dianne Buswell and Dev Griffiths were booted off in a controversial eviction on the show last weekend.
As well as the abuse, the Strictly star also had a difficult week because she had to be hooked up to a drip sparking fear for her health among fans.
