Strictly's Sara Davies breaks down in tears as she makes Aljaz admission

Strictly Come Dancing's Sara Davies was overcome with emotion as she spoke about her exit.

The Dragons' Den star appeared on the show's BBC Two spin-off on Monday night alongside dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec.

The pair chatted to host Rylan about becoming the seventh couple to be eliminated from the dance contest and looked back over their time in the competition.

When asked how she was feeling, Sara said: "I spent yesterday being really gutted and wallowing and feeling sorry for myself and Aljaž kept trying to call me and I didn’t want to talk to him because it would make me cry even more.

"Even my five year old kept saying, 'Mummy why are you crying, grown-up’s shouldn’t cry?' So I had a word with myself this morning and Aljaž took me for lunch and I feel a lot better."

After watching their Best Bits, host Rylan asked Sara what she's going to do now that she doesn't have to train, leading to her getting tearful as she admitted she would miss waking up and going to meet her dance partner every day.

"Do you know what? I woke up this morning and I was just lost," she said as Rylan even appeared teary-eyed.

"I was. I just usually have a little routine... The alarm goes off at 5 o'clock, check my Instagram Stories and [Aljaž] puts a little post and I'm like, 'Oh, he's woke up!'

"Then we meet at our little studio where we had our own set of keys and then I'd let us in and [Aljaž] would make us coffees and I'd turn the glitterball on, even though we really didn't need a glitterball at 6 o'clock in the morning," she laughed, wiping her eyes with a tissue.

"But it just got us in the mood! Those first few hours in the morning before the VT teams would turn up, it would just be us and we'd have this intense learning. It was just wonderful."

Sara and Aljaz faced CBBC and social media star Tilly Ramsay and her pro partner Nikita Kumzin in the dance-off on Sunday night.

Tilly, who had also been in the bottom two the previous week, was unanimously saved by the judges leading to Sara's exit.

Aljaz gave an emotional speech on Sunday night after it was announced they'd be leaving the competition, sparking fears he was quitting the hit BBC show.

But wife Janette, who was also a pro dancer on Strictly until the 2021 series, has since spoken out on the exit rumours.
