Strictly's Rose Ayling-Ellis enjoys Tyne Bridge stroll with Max George as tour lands in Newcastle

Strictly Come Dancing champion Rose Ayling-Ellis took a stroll along Newcastle's most famous landmark as the show's live tour descended on Newcastle on Thursday.

It's still only been just over a month since EastEnders actress Rose lifted the Glitterball trophy alongside professional partner Giovanni Pernice, as the latest series of the massively popular BBC show came to an end.

The couple, bookies favourites to win from the first live show, lit up the Strictly ballroom with an array of amazing routines, including their history making Couple's Choice, which saw them dance to 10 seconds of complete silence to show support for the deaf community.

Max, who was a contestant on Strictly 2020, is on the live tour alongside pro Katya Jones and he uploaded a picture of him and Rose, both wearing varsity jackets, to his Instagram.

He captioned the shot: "Bomber buddies for life," and it quickly got plenty of likes and comments.

One excited fan who was swift to reply, wrote: "See you tonight, Max."

Ahead if the first show in Newcastle, many of the Strictly cast, including local lass Sara Davies, Tilly Ramsay and pros Kai Widdrington and Neil Jones headed to Tynemouth for a dip in the sea before warming up at nearby Crusoe's.
