Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice have been crowned the winners of Strictly Come Dancing 2021 on Saturday night as they took home the Glitterball trophy.
During the final, Bake Off star John Whaite and Johannes Radebe and EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice took to the dance floor one last time to battle it out in a bid to be crowned the champions.
Both couples were fan favourites from week one of the BBC ballroom dancing show as they captured the hearts of viewers but Rose and Giovanni have taken home the trophy.
Rose and Giovanni performed three captivating dances in the final, including their couple's choice which saw them dance to Symphony by Clean Bandit feat. Zara Larsson.
The incredible routine had viewers and judges in tears when they first performed it back in week eight because it featured a silent moment in honour of Rose and the deaf community.
Speaking after her win, Rose said: "I just want to say you are so amazing. You pushed me to believe in myself. We've gone through a lot, and no matter how busy we get, you've always got a piece of my heart."
Giovanni added: "It's incredible. Thank you to this beautiful lady that made all my dreams come true. You became the best dance, the best teammate. You are a dream Rose, thank you for everything."
Viewers were left overjoyed at the result as they took to Twitter to share their congratulations to the winning duo.
