Strictly's Ranvir Singh pulls ahead with 'intense' and 'sexy' performance

Strictly Come Dancing 's Ranvir Singh has pulled ahead as the fan favourite after her "sexy" and "intense" performance last weekend.

The Good Morning Britain presenter wowed viewers as she took on an Argentine Tango with professional partner Giovanni Pernice.

The duo's incredible dance to Prince's When Doves Cry not only earned them an impressive score of 27, but also the admiration of Mirror Online readers.

When asked in our survey who impressed them the most this weekend, 32% of people chose Ranvir and Giovanni.

They earned 204 of the 631 votes placed.

One voter said they were the "best dancers" on the BBC contest.

Others said they had great "chemistry" and were "beautiful to watch".

Jamie Laing and Karen Hauer came second in our poll, earning 19% of the vote for their couple's choice street dance to C+C Music Factory's Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now).

This weekend's show saw Caroline Quentin and Johannes Radebe given the axe after a dance off with Maisie Smith and Gorka Marquez.

Mirror readers had called it.

When asked which couple should be sent home after seeing everyone dance, 208 people said they'd give Caroline and Johannes the boot after their Cha Cha to Rescue Me by Fontella Bass.

Clara Amfo and Aljaz Skorjanec came second in our vote with 22% following their Samba to KC and the Sunshine Band's That's The Way I Like It.

Ultimately, our readers agreed with the judges when they decided Caroline's time in the contest should be over.

Readers said they were a little "bored" watching her dance and that it was too highly scored by the judges, who gave her 24 out of 30.

Now just Clara and Aljaz remain in the contest with Maisie and Gorka, Ranvir and Giovanni, Jamie and Karen, Bill Bailey and Oti Mabuse, HRVY and Janette Manrara and JJ Chalmers and Amy Dowden.

* Strictly Come Dancing returns at 7.15pm on Saturday on BBC One
