Strictly's Oti Mabuse jokes she's bad at game shows as she joins Masked Dancer panel

Strictly Come Dancing star Oti Mabuse may be juggling her workload between channels but she's pledged to "try" to take her new role as a judge on ITV's The Masked Dancer seriously.

The dancer, 30, was speaking to Jonathan Ross for The Jonathan Ross Show and discussed the prospect of guessing the celebrity dancers.

Oti said: "I’m hoping I can [guess who they are]. It’s aired in America and has been really successful. So I watched that one.

"Actually the more established dancers or accomplished dancers, they fake it at the beginning, they want to come across as though they’re bad, but likeable and then they make it further… but I think you can see what they’re going to do.”

When questioned by the host if she would be taking it seriously, the Strictly winner revealed she's "really, really bad at game shows" but hoped to fare better with this competition.

"We’ll see… I’ll Google them from the clues," she said before saying Jonathan will be her partner in crime on the show.

She continued her chat with the host by discussing the fact she's now a two-time Strictly winner following her victory alongside Bill Bailey.

She said: "We were dancing against incredible people… to win that, I didn’t see that happening, I saw us going really far.

"You literally hear both of us going, ‘No way!’ and the producers saying, ‘Don’t swear!’ [when we won]."

She was then asked to compare her skills with that of her sister, judge Motsi. But Oti admitted it was another sibling he has the most talent.

"To be honest, we have another sister, middle sister, she was the better dancer. She was really good.

"She’s a mechanical engineer [now]. She designs windmills which create electricity through wind in South Africa."

Oti shared a rare photo of herself, Motsi and their sister Phemelo, whose Instagram account is private, last year on her Insta Stories.

Phemelo commented that her sisters were embracing being make-up free and that's what "makes them sooo beautiful" to her.
