Strictly's Neil Jones flogging £25 videos to fans after being dropped from main line-up

Neil Jones is looking to cash in on the outpouring of love for Strictly Come Dancing by charging fans £25 for a personalised video.

The 38-year-old professional dancer was left without a celebrity partner this year, after BBC bosses cut the numbers taking part in this year's competition due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Neil will still be seen on screens throughout the series after he was part of the Strictly 'bubble' so that he could pre-record the group dance numbers with his fellow professionals.

He has now left this year's show and while his fellow dancers compete for the Glitterball Trophy, Neil has turned to other sources to get the cash flowing.

While joining a video message site, Neil also took a swipe at his ex-wife Katya Jones by undercutting her personalised vids by £8.

Describing himself in his profile as “the ginger one” on Strictly, he told one recipient of his videos he was left "buzzing" after filming the group numbers for the popular BBC show.

The Sun has reported that he signed off the video with the Strictly catchphrase "keep dancing" along with a "Strictly shimmy".

Neil is on video message site Cameo and in an advert clip to entice people to his page, he says: "I will be doing shoutouts, birthday messages, anything you want.

“If you’ve got some dancing fans out there, let me know, I’m here.”

Neil was partnered with former Women's football international Alex Scott in last year's series but he's hoping his early goodbye to the show will be for the benefit of others.

He advertises in his profile on the site that the messages will also be helping to raise funds for charities, Parkinson's UK and Paradance.
