Strictly's Motsi Mabuse force to clarify future after 'last time' Twitter post sparks exit panic

Motsi Mabuse has been forced to clarify her future on Strictly Come Dancing, after a 'one last time' post she made on Twitter left fans worried she was leaving the show.

After sister Oti established herself as a favourite pro dancer amongst fans of the much loved BBC programme, Motsi joined the judging panel in 2019, the same year Oti scored her first of two consecutive Strictly wins, alongside celeb partner Kelvin Fletcher. Just like they did with Oti, viewers quickly took Motsi to their hearts and she has just completed her fourth series in the ballroom.

While it's now been over a week since Hamza Yassin and Jowita Przystal lifted this year's Glitterball trophy, the Strictly fun for 2022 wasn't over there and Motsi and her fellow judges were back on screen on Sunday evening for Strictly's annual Christmas special. It isn't unusual for the judges to post teasers for the show, but something Motsi tweeted had fans concerned that she was quitting.

On Christmas morning, she wrote: "See you later guys ! One last time," and it was the 'one last time' part of the tweet that had her followers worrying she was making a shock exit from the ballroom. One responded: "wait, are you leaving Strictly?!?" with another replying: "ONE LAST TIME???? EXPLAIN."

After many other fans demanded clarification, Motsi returned to the post a few hours later, to add: "For 2022 guys," with her comment prompting an outpouring of relief., as one fan told her: "THANK GOODNESS WAS ABOUT TO CRY ON CHRISTMAS DAY," and a second reacted: "Thank goodness, I was worried there for a moment."
