Strictly's Mike shows off bruises and half a stone weight loss after brutal training

Mike Bushell has said that he has already lost half a stone after his brutal Strictly Come Dancing training with Katya Jones.

Appearing on It Takes Two, he also showed off his bruises as Katya revealed that their American Smooth would involve a 'human lasso'.

Saying that it was the most "dramatic dance" Katya had ever done, she admitted that it had gone "very wrong" before.

Katya said: "I think you' be surprised at what this guy can pull off because he's not the tallest, not the strongest as we found out!"

She then showed off the extensive bruising up Mike's arm, prompting presenter Zoe Ball to gasp.

They then began to speak about their upcoming dance.

"So there is technique but there is a bit more freedom and spinning and lifting," Mike explained. "And that isn't Katya lifting me!"

"Although that could work too," Zoe quipped.

"I think I would prefer that," Mike joked.

Zoe continued: "You've already lost half a stone already - amazing - already on your way to the six-pack!"

They then aired a picture of a hunky man with Mike's face photoshopped onto the body.

The trio laughed, with Katya quipping: "Be careful what you wish for!"

*Strictly It Takes Two airs weekdays at 5.15pm on BBC One
