Strictly's Maisie Smith falls flat on her face in epic fail during rehearsals

Maisie Smith hasn’t had the easiest week as her next Strictly Come Dancing battle looms.

The EastEnders actress, 19, is doing all she can to prove her skills to both the judges and the public after she ended up in the bottom two last weekend.

While she’s put her best foot forward for Saturday night’s performance alongside professional dancing partner Gorka Márquez, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing – as her Instagram Story proves.

The flame-haired beauty took to her account on Wednesday to share a sneak peek of her upcoming performance, but instead of nailing the difficult routine, Maisie ended up flat on her face.

Gorka and Maisie finished off their gruelling dance rehearsals with a ‘floppy fish’ stretch, but clearly exhausted, the soap star fell to one side after being unable to hold herself up.

Maisie fell flat on her face but managed to poke fun at herself as she got right back up and laughed it off.

In a sweet gesture, Maisie dedicated the move to her former Strictly co-star Max George, who was booted from the show last weekend.

“A Max George classic move,” she captioned the hilarious video.

Earlier in the day, Maisie took to Instagram to playfully bash her partner Gorka.

She claimed that the professional dancer refused to let her eat lunch after a hectic training session.

Maisie collapsed to the floor and jokingly insisted that Gorka had ‘broken her’ as she lay flat on the floor with her arms over her head.

“Is it lunch yet?" Maisie asks to which Gorka replies: "No, we're going to do it one more time."

Maisie is hoping to bounce back from her bottom two battle by performing a sizzling salsa routine.

She and Gorka will perform a show-stopping routine to Better When I’m Dancing by Meghan Trainor.

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday at 8pm on BBC One.
