Strictly's Kelvin Fletcher suffering from 'extreme' side effects from learning Waltz

Kelvin Fletcher has revealed that he is suffering from the nauseating side effected from learning his second Strictly dance.

Following his jaw-dropping Samba at the weekend, Kelvin appeared on spin-off show It Takes Two with pro partner Oti Mabuse.

The pair told hosts that they were left utterly stunned after receiving four eights from the judges, a total of a whopping 32.

Kelvin said: "It was a huge relief because it's been building up for two weeks.

"I came in quite late in tricky circumstances but it was just so good to get on the floor and let it all out.

"I have never done the Samba before so that was a revelation but I like to shake my hips when I'm at the odd party and whatnot.

"I think the audience helped because it was such an upbeat number, I think the sense of the occasion and it was a party atmosphere and I think that is what really helped me lose my inhibitions and just go for it."

He added: '"Our jaws were on the floor when we got the first eight from Craig [Revel Horwood], it was just absolute disbelief, it was unbelievable."

Speaking about his Waltz, which they will dance to What The World Needs Now Is Love by Burt Bacharach, he admitted that it had been more of a challenge.

He said: "I am still feeling dizzy, Oti said that samba is one of the hardest dances whereas the waltz feels even more difficult, it feels more technical.

"It's a different extreme, it's a lot slower and not quite as physically intense but I feel it's more mental exhaustion and I've got a real thing with dizziness and spinning."

Following his performance on Saturday, judges Motsi Mabuse, Bruno Tonioli and Shirley Ballas leaped to their feet and showered him with praise.

Trailing behind are were Karim and Amy, with 31, and Michelle and Giovanni and Dev and Dianne with 30.

Sitting at the bottom of the leaderboard sits James and Luba, who scored just 11. Just behind them are Chris and Karen with just 13.

However it isn't all over for the bottom couples, who can still improve their scores this Saturday with their second dance. The public will then have the chance to save their favourite from getting the boot on Sunday's show.
