Strictly's Kelvin Fletcher stunned as Oti Mabuse accidentally makes dig at his intelligence

Kelvin Fletcher was left stunned today on Strictly: It Takes Two today after Oti Mabuse made an unintentional and hilariously awkward dig at his intelligence.

Oti and Kelvin wowed viewers at the weekend with their saucy Samba and scored an impressive 32, the highest score in any show for five years.

The pair appeared on Strictly Come Dancing's spin-off show today and spoke to host Zoe Ball about the praise that they received from the judges.

"It was totally unexpected [...] to get those kinds of critiques," Oti insisted.

Meanwhile Kelvin quipped: "Our jaws were on the floor when we got that first eight from Craig!"

Oti added: "You know what I say to him, he's quite intelligent so when I'm talking to him..."

But Kelvin instantly picked up on her comment, exclaiming: "'Quite'?!"

They all burst into laughter and Kelvin hugged her, showing that he hadn't taken her remark seriously.

"[If only] I could do one interview where I say something I don't regret," Oti joked despairingly.

Kelvin's score at the weekend was even more impressive given that he only had two weeks to prepare after being drafted in as Jamie Laing's replacement.

Unsurprisingly, Motsi was amazed by the performance and lavished him and her sister with praise.

Motsi started giggling after crying "oh my goodness" after Kelvin and Oti had finished dancing.

"Kelvin, well are we not happy you stepped in," said Motsi. "I mean...seriously you have good assets guys.

"Stop, stop, I’m talking about that spine. That hip rotation. I’m talking about that ooziness in your body. That was so fun to watch."

Shirley Ballas, who admitted she was lost for words, joked that she need a fan to cool her down.

While Bruno Tonioli claimed it was the best Samba he had seen on a debut show on any of the international versions of the show.
