Strictly Come Dancing's Katya Jones has been working as an NHS volunteer during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The 31-year-old professional dancer, who originally hails from Russia, has temporarily ditched the ball gowns and signed up to support UK health services as an NHS Volunteer Responder.
With Strictly commitments currently on hold because of the lockdown, Katya revealed that she has picked up prescriptions to support an elderly couple as part of the volunteer scheme.
Although the dancer admitted that there hadn't been a lot of volunteer tasks in her 'small town', Katya was 'buzzing' to help the community when she was called on.
Speaking to Joanna Chimonides and Stephen Leng on FUBAR radio, Katya gave more details about what NHS Volunteer Responders do.
“I live in quite a small town and there hasn’t been anything going on. Then today the alarm went off on my phone and I’m like, ‘what’s going on? I don’t know what to do!’," she told the presenters.

"It was one of the patients. An elderly couple needed their medicine picking up from the pharmacy and taking to them and I was buzzing!”
Aside from supporting the elderly couple in her town, Katya doesn't appear to have been called upon by the NHS.
In the meantime, she has been learning languages and helping her Strictly co-stars in their at-home projects.

During the radio show she also made a shock admission about her dance training.
“Do you know what’s really funny? The one thing I haven’t done at all during the lockdown is dancing!" she told Joanna and Stephen.
"I swear, I did one class, I led one class, and that’s it. I’ve not danced at all!”

As the future of Strictly Come Dancing hangs in the balance because of the pandemic, Katya is hopeful that the show will make a triumphant return even if there are some self-distancing tweaks.
“Obviously everybody is just waiting to hear what’s gonna happen. But I think the nation needs some sparkles of Strictly!”
So far it appears that the professionals have not been given details about how the show will go forward.

“I just know that everybody’s working really, really hard to make it work.
"I think we’ll need to wait and hear how the rules are going to change further on because we normally start at the end of July/ beginning of August, so things might drastically change of course with the social distancing and things like that."
She added: "But I really, really think we all need it!”
