Strictly's Karen Hauer cringes as she discovers dance with Chris Ramsey broke her worst record

Karen Hauer was left cringing today after finding out that her first dance with Chris Ramsey on Saturday was her lowest scored performance ever.

The professional dancer, who has appeared on Strictly Come Dancing since 2012, almost hid behind her hands as It Takes Two presenter Zoe Ball revealed that she had broken her worst record.

Chris and Karen scored just 13 points from the judges for their Cha Cha Cha.

"Just clear of the bottom," Zoe said, before quipping: "And it's Karen's lowest ever score."

Karen opened her mouth in shock as Chris flinched at the comment, closing his eyes.

Zoe exclaimed "Congratulations" as Chris winced, saying that he "didn't know that".

"You didn't mention that!" Chris exclaimed as he pointed a finger at her.

"I was trying not to," Karen said. "I was being a gentle-lady!"

"It's nice to have some kind of record," Zoe joked as Karen leaned over, hand shielding her from Chris' face.

Zoe then pointed out that Shirley Ballas liked his physique, prompting Chris to say: "Yes, that was nice. I'm going to dine out on that for the week!"

They then aired a video message from Chris' old headteacher, who said that the judges were "very harsh".

He remarked: "13 out of 40, do you know what percentage that is? Maybe not, maths was never your strongest subject at school."

At that, Chris and Karen burst into laughter.

As if that weren't enough, Zoe brought up the fact that the pros had told him he needed to wear tighter pants for his dances.

At the end, Chris exclaimed: "This has been a hell of a hammering tonight!"
