Strictly's Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova mark huge first as fans go wild for announcement

Kai Widdrington and Nadiya Bychkova have sent fans into a frenzy with some big news, right after they celebrated a major first on Strictly Come Dancing at the weekend.

Strictly pros Kai and Nadiya have been 'official' as a couple for a number of months now, after they were snapped looking close in the reception of a Newcastle hotel back in January, as the show's annual arena tour arrived on Tyneside. They have now attended a number of high profile events together as a pair, including the recent Pride of Britain awards, where they both looked stunning on the red carpet.

And, while they have been seen in various group dances so far this series, the weekend's Strictly results show brought a very special moment for them, as they got to dance together for the first time to one of Strictly's musical guests. Kai, who was the first pro to get the boot this year, alongside celeb partner Kaye Adams and Nadiya, who left weeks later alongside Matt Goss, performed a breath-taking routine in front of Beauty and the Beast star Luke Evans, as he delivered a cover of Bridge Over Troubled Water.

Kai and Nadiya were just as delighted as fans at home by their performance, with them sharing a joint post on Instagram after credits rolled. Next to a photo of them posing with Luke, they wrote: " What an honour and a privilege to perform along side the incredibly talented @thereallukeevans and of course for us, a beautiful moment, performing our first music act together on the show, truly a special moment we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did."

A day after their performance aired, Kai and Nadiya returned to Instagram to break news of their own nationwide tour - Once Upon A Time. The production is being billed as 'the most glamorous dance show yet' and will kick off in Portsmouth in arch, before taking to the stage at venues across the country for over two months.

Tickets are on sale now and, writing about the tour, Kai commented: "This genuinely is a dream come true for both of us. We’re so excited to finally share it with all of you. We hope you come along for the ride!"
