Joe Sugg suffered an agonising injury while training for Strictly’s Christmas special.
The 28-year-old is performing with Dianne Buswell, who he is dating after meeting on the show.
He said: “We were rehearsing and I jumped off something and twinged my back.”
Joe added on YouTube channel ThatcherJoeVlogs: “I’ve pulled muscles before but I’ve never pulled a muscle like this in my life.
“With this one, it managed to pull around my back but also around my chest, so I’m finding it hard to get my breath.”
Joe was treated by the BBC1 team and a physio told him to “put heat on it”.
The special will air on Christmas Day at 4.40pm.
