Strictly's Jayde Adams hits back at online troll after tearful exit from show

Jayde Adams has taken on a troll who made a dig at her following her emotional Strictly Come Dancing exit, hitting back with a brilliant response.

Stand up comic and Alma's Not Normal star Jayde was one half of an all-female couple on this year's Strictly, alongside fan favourite pro Karen Hauer, who's previously paired up with the likes of Chris Ramsey and Jamie Laing. The duo have been a highly entertaining couple to watch, thanks to their routines inspired by everything from Flashdance to Jayde's late sister's favourite song.

The latte r left Jayde in tears after she danced to Bette Midler's Wind Beneath My Wings last week, but there was real shift in mood for her and Karen this weekend, when they danced a charleston to Victoria Wood's The Ballad of Barry and Freda, in honour of Strictly's BBC 100th birthday special.

While plenty of fans loved it, the performance and the judges' scores for it, weren't enough to keep Jayde and Karen out of the bottom two, once the public had voted. They had to dance-off against Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu, with all four judges opting to save their rivals.

Jayde took to Twitter and Instagram after the Strictly result show aired on BBC One to assure fans they hadn't seen the last of her, as she gets ready to tour the UK in 2023 and star in Take That musical movie Greatest Days. And, she also took the opportunity to expose a troll for a comment they made about her on Twitter.

The tweet was shared by Jayde on her Insta story and read: "Her dancing was woeful." Quick to clap back, Jayde responded: "Petition for Lea Roberts to learn a Charleston in 4 days and perform it in front of 9 million people."

Jayde's response came after she gave an emotional exit speech on Strictly, saying: "It has been the best thing I've ever done in my life and I will carry it to my grave," before heaping praise on pro Karen and everyone involved with the show.
