Strictly's James Jordan branded a 'scumbag' as co-star Danny John-Jules reignites feud

Former Strictly Come Dancing professional James Jordan has been branded a ‘scumbag’ as Danny John-Jules reignited their bitter feud.

The Red Dwarf actor, 61, took part in the 2018 series of the BBC One show, and was eliminated after being voted out of the competition alongside dance partner pro Amy Dowden.

James, who left Strictly in 2013, is well-known for his live commentary on social media during episodes of the show, as he gives his own personal take on the performances.

However, he took it one step too far in 2018, as he made a comment about Danny’s mother as she watched her son on the dancefloor.

In a since-deleted tweet, James said that Danny’s mother looked “as miserable as him” while taking part in the dance-off, shortly before the judges voted to send him home after failing to impress with his samba routine.

At the time, the Death in Paradise star was furious with the ex-dancer, and now, Danny has reignited their explosive feud.

The actor branded James a ‘scumbag’ and a ‘has-been’ as he reflected on the comments the Dancing on Ice winner made in 2018.

“He had the nerve to go on social media to say that my 85-year-old mum with dementia looked miserable,” he told Express.co.uk.

“That scumbag. The has-been, never-been, could-have-been… What’s his name? Apparently he’s a dancer,” Danny fired.

At the time, James apologised for the comments, and defended his tweet, as he claimed there was ‘no malice intended’.

“I just stated facts. Said what everyone was thinking. Not attacking anyone. She did look miserable when the camera was on her, but I’m sure she is a lovely lady,” he said.

“No malice intended. But everyone gets offended over everything nowadays,” James added.

He then shared a direct message he had been sent by Danny’s wife Petula, after she said his tweet was ‘out of order’.

James told Danny he has a ‘lot of friends on Strictly’, and urged him to drop the argument as it threatened to ‘overshadow the person you are’.
