Strictly youngsters HRVY and Maisie Smith have become the "will they, won't they" of the series after a string of flirty comments and some gushing tributes.
But in the age of Covid, love's harder than ever, HRVY - real name Harvey Cantwell - telling that nothing can be on the cards until Strictly is done and dusted.
And given they're both favourites to reach the final, that could be a long way down the road.
The BBC have brought in strict measures to make the show Covid-safe, which means very little contact - and certainly no physical contact - between the competing celebs.
It's even been reported that the BBC are keeping an extra-close eye on the pair to make sure there's no kissing.
Pressed on the romance rumours by Roman Kemp on Capital Radio this morning, HRVY remarked: "Do you know what, she's great, she's a very good dancer, she's very beautiful, she's a lovely girl, but right now, it's not like I can see or touch anyone anyway, not that I'm touching anyone, but because of all the Covid restrictions what can you do, right now I'm going to focus on the dancing but Maisie is a great girl."
Roman wasn't cowed, asking: "But….when the show is finished and Covid regulations can end?"
"Hmm, yeah I mean who knows?" HRVY laughed, "but right now, we're good friends."
"So you're saying there's a chance?" an excited Roman queried.
"You never know, you never know…" HRVY said, keeping it vague.
Maisie's also refused to rule it out - but says "not right now".
"He is a beautiful-looking guy," Maisie, who plays Tiffany Butcher on Albert Square, told The Sun.
"But I have only seen him for a couple of hours a week so I am still enjoying getting to know him.
"I don't know what would happen in the future, but for now we are getting along really well as friends."
Both Maisie and HRVY have topped leaderboards since the show kicked off, and both seem safe bets to lift the Glitterball Trophy.
HRVY is dancing with Janette Manrara, while Maisie's paired up with Gorka Marquez.
