Strictly's Giovanni says 'silent' dance with Rose will 'remain in his heart forever'

Strictly Come Dancing professional Giovanni Pernice has gushed over his unforgettable dance with EastEnders star Rose Ayling-Ellis after it left viewers in floods of tears on Saturday night.

The 32-year-old professional dancer and the soap star stole the show when their performance was labelled the ‘greatest dance of all time’ in Strictly history.

Strictly fans were left sobbing when the talented pair incorporated a special tribute to those who are hard of hearing, or deaf.

To pay respect and raise awareness for members of the deaf community, the music was cut and the pair continued to dance in silence as part of their spellbinding routine to the Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson song Symphony.

And following the spine-tingling performance, Giovanni took to social media to admit that the special dance will ‘remain in his heart forever’.

Alongside a sweet snap of Giovanni and Rose sharing a sweet embrace after their stellar performance, the Italian dancer penned: “A moment that will remain forever in my heart️.

“You really are a ROLE MODEL,” Giovanni added.

Rose is the first deaf contestant to ever grace the Strictly Come Dancing dance floor, and she has continued to impress the judge's week after week.

The EastEnders star has quickly stolen the hearts of the nation, with her and Giovanni being tipped to win the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

And the pair have even sent romance rumours spiralling thanks to their incredibly close bond.

Following Saturday night's incredible performance, as the dance came to an end, the EastEnders actress embraced her professional partner as he told her: "I love you."

Giovanni's public display of affection comes weeks after his split from former Love Island star Maura Higgins.

The 30-year-old reality TV star split with the Strictly Come Dancing professional last month after their whirlwind four-month relationship.

Maura took their breakup badly, after confessing her love for the Italian dancer on social media – even labelling him as ‘the one’.

But in the wake of their split, Giovanni has thrown himself into the BBC competition and is favourite to win this year's Glitterball trophy with Rose, 26.

Their chemistry didn't go unnoticed by viewers tuning in at home, and one even claimed that the Italian dancer is 'smitten'.

One eagle-eyed viewer tweeted: "The way Gio looks at Rose. That man is smitten #Strictly."

"Sorry but Rose and Giovanni need to get married, it’s a must #Strictly," another echoed.

Meanwhile, someone else tweeted: "#Strictly #Giovanni #Rose without saying anything, they said everything. Absolutely beautiful, the look of love. Unconditional love. Reach for the stars and glitter ball."

Strictly Come Dancing continues next Saturday on BBC One.
