Strictly's Giovanni Pernice enjoys 'career high' as fans raise concerns for his future on BBC show

Giovanni Pernice is basking in the glory of a 'career high,' just as an announcement he made on Instagram left Strictly Come Dancing fans gutted and some questioning his future on the BBC show.

Former Strictly champion Giovanni has been a very busy man of late, hitting the road with his Made in Italy tour, just as many of his co-stars travelled the length and breadth of the country on the Strictly live tour. Giovanni was the star attraction on last year's nationwide jaunt, alongside Glitterball-winning celeb partner Rose Ayling-Ellis, but played np part in this year's tour, having made an early exit from the ballroom in 2022 and already committed to his own tour.

Made in Italy is still going and in the middle of a weekend that saw him catch four different flights in four days, Giovanni was on a serious high when he came off stage in Dublin on Saturday night. Sharing a selection of videos from the sell out show on the Emerald Isle, Giovanni revealed that the audience had given him 'the longest standing ovation' of his career so far; while also expressing his excitement at a new ending to the production going down a storm and getting to dance with icon Pasquale La Rocca.

But as he enjoys every second of his Made in Italy tour, Giovanni broke the hearts of Strictly fans, by revealing that he won't be doing the show's arena tour next year either. News of his 'snub' came as announced plans for his biggest tour to date. Let Me Entertain You, which Giovanni explained was just too big to fit in some of the theatres used for Made in Italy, will kick off in January, meaning another overlap with the Strictly tour.

Giovanni was asked by a fan on Instagram 'What if you win strictly? Will you not be going on the strictly tour?' And giving a short and very direct response, Giovanni replied: 'Nope,' with his response leaving many of his followers gutted.

One asked him: "are you leaving Strictly?" and another commented: "Giovanni Pernice doesn't want to do the Strictly Tour anymore."
