Giovanni Pernice promoted swift action from Strictly Come Dancing co-star Katya Jones as the two professionals took each other on in a battle away from the BBC ballroom.
The dancers have both been on Strictly for years and danced with each other as music guest Lewis Capaldi performed on the show at the end of last year, but for now, they are TV rivals as they featured on shows which went out at the same time on Tuesday night.
Giovanni was quick to remind his Instagram followers that he and Strictly judge Anton Du Beke would be on BBC One, with the second episode of their travel series Adventures in Sicily, which was made more special by the arrival of his former celeb dance partner, Rose Ayling-Ellis, who he won the Glitterball trophy with in 2021.
Giovanni promoted his new show with a photo of himself with Anton and Rose, writing: "Tonight 9 pm on @bbcone and @bbciplayer our second episode and bonus ..@rose.a.e was with us this time too"
While many fans were quick to share their excitement, Strictly co-star Katya swooped in to highlight that fact that she would be on CHannel 4 at the same time as a star of the new series of Celebrity Hunted. In the comments thread of Giovanni's post, Katya wrote: "@giovannipernice I think you’ll be watching me on @hunted_hq tonight at 9pm!"
And Giovanni was quick off the mark to fire back a cheeky reply, writing: "well I’m on stage at 9pm so might have to catch up that a bit later on"
Katya is a fugitive on the new star-studded run of hit show Hunted, alongside Olympic snow boarder Aimee Fuller, with other celebs taking part this time including This Morning regulars The Speakmans and former Strictly star Saffron Barker and her friend Bobby Seagull.
