Strictly's Fleur East addresses 'rough' time on show as fans left worried

Fleur East made an admission on her 'rough' time on Strictly Come Dancing as fans were left worried there'd be more heartache ahead for her this weekend.

While former X Factor finalist Fleur was the first contestant on Strictly this year to land a perfect score, when she and pro partner Vito Coppola got 40/40 for their Couple's Choice routine to a Destiny's Child medley in Blackpool, the Sax singer has also tasted the upset o f landing in the dance-off three times now, each time after getting good scores.

Fleur and Vito looked gutted at being told they'd dropped into the danger zone again last week, surviving against Ellie Taylor and Johannes Radebe, meaning they were one of six couples left going into the live quarter final, which took place on Friday rather than Saturday, as the BBC moved Strictly for the World Cup.

The couple had the honour of closing out the latest live show with their Quickstep to a song from An American in Paris and once again fared well when it came to scores, getting 38 out of 40 for the judges, putting them joint third on the leaderboard, after a tie at the top between Helen Skelton and Will Mellor.

Before she and Vito got their latest of scores, they joined host Claudia Winkleman for a chat and, it was during that that Fleur made a telling remark on how things had gone for them so far. Quizzed by Claudia on how much it meant for her to be part of Musicals week, Fleur said: "Honestly amazing, it's not been a smooth journey for us two for sure; but honestly, to be here on Musicals Week, it's one of the most iconic weeks on Strictly and my husband messaged today to say 'this is your dream.'"

Credits rolled not longer after Fleur got her scores and straight away, fans took to Twitter to voice their concerns she could end up in the dance-off again this week. One tweeted: "I’m so worried for fleur," with another, having the same concerns, reacting: "Its fleur im worried for cos the public dont like her."

A third reacted: "That was a charmingly dreamy quickstep from Fleur and Vito!! I adore their partnership and would be morally OUTRAGED if that lands them in the bottom two again!!"
