John Whaite and Johannes Radebe took the Strictly dancefloor by storm with the first male same-sex tango scoring THIRTY points for their debut dance.
The Great British Bake Off winner John is the first male celebrity to perform in the BBC One hit with a male partner in a same-sex coupling.
The pair danced the tango to New Order's Blue Monday in the dance which made history for the show.
The dramatic routine received high praise from all of the judges, with Shirley Ballas noting the switching from leading to being led as a particularly strong highlight, while Anton called it "clean" and "powerful".
They also received a standing ovation from the judges and the crowd.
Naturally, Strictly fans were delighted to see John and Johannes take to the dance floor for the first time as the show’s first male same-sex couple.
Stephen Patterson wrote onTwitter: "John and Johannes! How incredible was that Tango? Feel like we just witnessed a piece of history - exactly as it should be. #Strictly"
Dan Ellis had a brilliant reaction also on Twitter: "In 2004, at the age of 14, I felt oddly represented by Julian Clary being openly out on strictly. Tonight I hope that same feeling is with someone else that age or younger and is more than heightened watching John & Johannes."
They ended up being joint second on the leaderboard with Olympian Adam Peaty and Katya Jones, one space behind celeb AJ Odudu and her partner Kai Widdington.
