Strictly's Dianne Buswell responds to Joe Sugg split fears after jetting to Australia

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell appeared to address the recent speculation that she has split from her partner Joe Sugg in a post on social media this week.

The professional dancer, 33, and her boyfriend, 31, have been in a relationship since 2018. They had met on the BBC dance show, in which they had been partnered together.

There was however speculation over the relationship this week after Dianne flew out to her native Australia alone. She announced the trip on Instagram a few days ago.

It led some of her followers to speculate over whether they had split up. Others instead said the couple may just be spending the festive period with their respective families.

Dianne appeared to address the recent speculation on her Instagram Story last night. She shared photos from her trip, including a sweet post which featured her partner Joe.

It showed Dianne on a video call with Joe. The couple were both smiling as they virtually connected whilst apart, with her including laughing emojis and a heart emoji in the post.

The professional dancer was stood alongside an individual – who is believed to be her older brother Andrew Buswell – whilst on the call. The latter was dressed up as Santa Claus.

Some fans had already defended the couple against the speculation. One person wrote in the comments of Dianne's initial post: "Couples can have Christmas apart."

Another had written similarly: "They're still individuals with families to spend time with. Not every couple need to be together 24/7, it's healthy to be apart sometimes."

Other followers instead responded to her post about flying out to Australia by expressing well-wishes. "Have the best time with your family," read one commented on it.

"Hope you have a lush time with your fam and have a lovely Christmas," said one follower. Another wrote: "Enjoy your family time Dianne and have a wonderful Christmas".
