Dianne Buswell was feeling frustrated after she was forced to change her Christmas plans after being unable to fly back to Australia.
Like many families affected by the latest Covid-19 restrictions, the 31-year-old Strictly Come Dancing star was unable to leave the country as planned.
Although she was "sad" that she was prevented from spending Christmas with her family, she admitted that the silver lining was that she could enjoy more time with her boyfriend Joe Sugg.
The professional dancer - who was most recently paired with Max George - took to social media to open up about the change to her Christmas plans.
The redhead shared a cheerful picture of herself and Joe snuggling under a Christmas tree as she addressed the recent change in plans.
"It was meant to be the night before I flew out to Australia to see the fam it’s very sad and frustrating but so many of us are in similar positions this year if not worse," Dianne revealed to fans.
"Sending love to everybody who can’t see their loved ones this Christmas ! "
The dancer also vowed that she would head back to Australia as soon as possible.
She added: "Silver lining is I get to stay and annoy this one a little longer than planned ! And Australia I’ll be there as soon as I can."
The Strictly star also told one of her pals that her flights were 'all rebooked' so she will make it home eventually.
Dianna was quickly inundated with messages as fans shared their frustration with the star about Christmas plans being thrown up in the air.
"I’m so sorry your plans fell through. I hope your Christmas is lovely anyway," wrote one follower.
Another added: "gutted for you but sending you so much love."
"I’m so gutted for you but i hope you can still make the most of this Christmas, as much as you can," penned a third.
Many other fans thanked Dianne for her amazing performances on this year's Strictly.
Dianne had been paired with The Wanted's Max George this year and the couple made it to week four before being eliminated.
