Caroline Quentin's Strictly Come Dancing journey may have been over much sooner than she would like, but the star has opened up about the up side to getting booted from the competition in her first post since leaving.
The 60-year-old actress was eliminated from the much-loved BBC One dance competition on Sunday night after losing out in the dance off to EastEnders actress Maisie Smith.
Former Jonathan Creek star Caroline failed to impress the judges with her Cha Cha to Rescue Me by Fontella Bass- that saw her lick professional partner Johannes Radebe's arm in one racy move.
Caroline has now left the Strictly bubble and returned home to her husband and their dogs.
Taking to Instagram on Tuesday morning, Caroline opened up about her Strictly exit as she shed light on how her life had changed now she was no longer training.
Looking cheerful on the chilly November morning, Caroline burst out one of her epic dance moves as she posed in the sweet snap during a brisk canal walk.
Alongside her most recent offering, since getting booted from the show, the bubbly star said she was missing her ‘angel’ partner Johannes.
She captioned the shot: “Morning run by the canal. Where’s my partner? Miss you my angel.”
And it seems that South African native Johannes feels the same being away from Caroline as she rushed to the post to gush over his new friend.
“I miss you more than you know,” he commented.
Caroline later posted a heartwarming photo of herself enjoying a cup of tea while surrounded by her beloved pet pooches.
The Strictly star was clearly getting down to business in the garden as she ditched her recent glamorous demeanor for a stripped back and casual ensemble.
“Back where I belong,” Caroline captioned the wholesome shot which saw her go makeup-free.
After her elimination from the show, Caroline said that Strictly was one of the best decisions she has ever made in her life.
“I have had the honour and privilege of working with some of the greatest dancers this country has ever known I mean I really believe it; I think they are absolutely fantastic.
'But of course, my greatest gift coming on this show is Johannes.”
