Strictly's Anton du Beke sparks controversy over Oti Mabuse's name

Strictly Come Dancing fans were in turmoil tonight over Anton du Beke's pronunciation of Oti Mabuse's name.

While commenting on their performance, Anton was saying how Bill respects Oti's movements.

However, his pronunciation of Oti caught many viewers off-guard.

On Strictly, Oti as always been pronounced like 'Oaty'.

However, Anton called her 'Otee'.

The difference in pronunciation saw fans flock to Twitter.

Some questioned if Anton had accidentally got her name wrong in the moment, or if it was a nickname between friends.

Darcy said: "Anton calling Oti otty??? Come on now."
