They missed one week of Strictly Come Dancing live shows after testing positive for Covid-19, but now Welsh professional Amy Dowden and her celebrity partner, Tom Fletcher are back in training.

Amy, from Caerphilly, shared a post on her Instagram saying how happy she was to be back with McFly member Tom in the training room. She wrote: "I can’t tell you how happy and grateful team #mcflowden was to be back in the training room today! We smiled all day even when our legs were exhausted from all those jive kicks! Super proud of @tomfletcher and can’t wait to be back on the dance floor Saturday night! "

The couple, who opened their Strictly account with a cha cha cha to Earth, Wind and Fire's September, are now practicing for a Movie Week jive to Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode from the Enchantment Under the Sea dance scene from Back to The Future.

McFly of course take their name from Michael J Fox's character Marty McFly in the 1985 film and Tom shared a picture of a guitar and wrote "…Let’s do something that really cooks!" which is a line from the hit film, earlier this week.

And in a fan Q&A on Instagram, Tom revealed that they kept on training.

In a long week for the duo, who spent the isolation separately, they still managed to train over FaceTime - showing their dedication to the jive.
