Strictly's AJ and Kai have viewers predicting they could cause a serious upset

Blown away Strictly Come Dancing viewers have declared that AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington could spring a huge upset this year after they got a near perfect score on Saturday night.

Having wowed everyone back in week 1 with their jive, AJ and Kai have been in the upper echelons of the leaderboard all series, landing their highest score of the series in Halloween Week.

They aimed to maintain their very own high standard with a Charleston on Saturday night, with Motsi Mabuse shouting: "Love, love, love!" as they finished their routine.

Shirley Ballas told AJ she didn't have a paddle "big or bold enough," for her and only Craig-Revel Horwood, despite telling AJ and Kai they were fabulous, failed to award a 10.

They earned a leaderboard-topping total of 39/40, clearly beating last week's frontrunners Rose and Giovanni.

After scoring the earliest 40 in Strictly history last week, the EastEnders actress and her pro partner had to settle for 32 for their salsa.

Going into this weekend, some bookies had Rose's odds of winning as short as 2/5, having her as a dead cert to triumph.

But, with AJ and Kai getting yet another high score, many viewers are now tipping them to push Rose and Giovanni all the way.

Rushing to Twitter, one reacted: "So AJ HAS to win this series right? That's a winner's dance right there. Just spectacular."

Echoing those sentiments and going even further, another tweeted: "AJ must win this year. I’ll accept no other outcome," and a third posted: "Unpopular opinion, for me if Aj and Kai don’t win Strictly this year then it will be a travesty now I have nothing against rose and Giovanni but for me aj is just overall a great dancer loved aj performances since week 1 she’s my winner"
