Adam Peaty has hit back over viewers' gossip about his sizzling Argentine tango with Katya Jones on Strictly Come Dancing.
The Olympic swimmer and professional partner Katya set the BBC ballroom alight on Saturday night with their 'hot' dance routine which ended with a lingering look.
Many fans took to Twitter to say they thought it looked like Adam was about to kiss Katya

But the father-of-one, who is in a relationship, has responded saying he won’t be "lowered by gossip."
He tweeted: “My favourite dance so far. Thank you to everyone who has sent supporting messages! I loved it.
“To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real life consequences.
"I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip. Protect your energy.”
As Strictly fans were in a tizzy discussing their chemistry on Twitter, Adam's girlfriend Eirianedd Munroe was over on TikTok poking fun at the situation.
Using the sound of a crying baby, she scrunched up her face as if she was wailing.
And she wrote: “Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV … Finding out 10 million people also watched it live.”
On Saturday night one fan asked: "Errr were they just about to snog?!"
"THE CHEMISTRY!! That was seriously hot," shouted another.
Another commented: "I know he's probably half my age but Adam is hot. I've got goosebumps watching him and Katya.

And host Tess Daly joked after their dance: "I don't get out much but I had a lovely time."
Last weekend his girlfriend shared a photo of the couple together on Instagram and wrote: "Adam sent me a photo of himself in costume for tonight.... let me tell ya right now.. you are not reaaaddyyy!!!!! proud of ya baby."
And yesterday she shared a photo of herself with the caption: "Not worried."
