Strictly Come Dancing star Adam Peaty has issued a warning to trolls commenting on his 'near kiss' with professional dance partner Katya Jones.
The pair turned up the heat in the studio on Saturday night after performing a sizzling tango which climaxed with Adam appearing to lean in towards Katya as if trying to kiss her.
The heated moment caused an immediate stir with viewers, with many taking to Twitter to speculate on what they'd just witnessed.
“Did Adam just go to kiss Katya and then remember they’re on TV?!" one widely shared tweet asked.
Olympian Adam is currently in a relationship with girlfriend Eiri Munro, with whom he shares a one-year-old son. While Katya is understood to be single after spitting with her husband Neil Jones in 2019.

After the furore, Adam took to Twitter to slam gossip about the nature of his partnership with Katya.
He began his tweet: "My favourite dance so far.
"Thank you to everyone who has sent supporting messages! I loved it."
He then continued: "To everyone who wants to see what they want, your comments have real life consequences. I will not be overcome or lowered by your gossip.
"Protect your energy."

Adam's girlfriend Eiri has also provided her own, rather more humorous, take on the scene with a cheeky TikTok video which she entitled: "Watching your boyfriend almost kiss another woman on live TV."
In the self-filmed clip, she threw her head back in faux despair and added: "Finding out 10 million other people also watched it live, while pretending to sob again.
The BBC dance show has become renowned for breaking up couples over the years, while other celebs taking part have ended up falling for their dance partners in what has become known as 'The Strictly curse.'
Katya herself was embroiled in one of the biggest scandals to ever hit the show when she was photographed kissing her 2018 dance partner Seann Walsh.
The pair, who were both in relationships at the time, were forced to apologise for their antics on Strictly spin of show It Takes Two as they branded the snog a 'drunken one off mistake'.

Katya has remained on the show and is hoping to make it to the final this year dancing with Peaty.
The pair wound up joint second on the leaderboard, alongside Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, with a score of 32.
This week Sara Davies and Aljaz Skorjanec were awarded the highest scores of the night for their Tango to Por Una Cabeza by Carlos.

While at the other end of the board, Greg Wise and Karen Hauer appear at risk of going home after scoring a lowly 19 for their Samba to Macrena by Los Del Rio.
While Judi Love and Dan Walker could also be in trouble after picking up 24 and 26 points respectively.
