Strictly Musicals Week songs confirmed - but one couple is in danger with 'cursed' dance

Songs for Strictly's all-singing and all-dancing Musicals Week has been confirmed - but one couple could be in serious danger after being given the dance that all dread towards the end of the series.

Week 10 will see Borehamwood transform into Broadway on Saturday and will even feature a judges' group number.

Craig Revel Horwood will lead the way as he performs with the judges, pros and celebs in a musical medley from Hello, Dolly!

Meanwhile on Sunday, viewers will be treated to a performance from British soul icon Beverley Knight.

Anton and Emma suffered a few mistakes in their routine (PA)

The pros will also perform a group dance to one of her legendary tracks on the ballroom floor.

If that weren't enough, Tony Award-winner and Frozen star Idina Menzel.

But, ultimately, it's all down to the celebs and their partners - and Alex and Neil could be in trouble after being given the Samba to perform.

Alex and Neil could be in trouble after being given the 'dance of doom' (PA)

Known as one of the 'dances of doom', it is notorious for knocking contestants out - just ask AJ Pritchard.

Will Alex and Neil be able to avoid the curse?

One of the few to avoid it was Danny Mac and partner Oti Mabuse, who made Strictly history in 2016 after scoring a perfect 40 for the dance - something that had never been done before.

Here's what everyone will be dancing to on Saturday:

  • Alex and Neil: Samba - Joyful Joyful, Sister Act
  • Emma and Anton: Charleston - Thoroughly Modern Millie, Thoroughly Modern Millie
  • Chris and Karen: Foxtrot - Consider Yourself, Oliver!
  • Karim and Amy: Jive - You Can't Stop The Beat, Hairspray
  • Kelvin and Oti: American Smooth - Gaston, Beauty and the Beast

*Strictly airs on Saturday at 7pm on BBC One
