Strictly leaderboard week 2: Rhys Stephenson lands a score of 30 with energetic Cha Cha

Strictly Come Dancing week two got off to a cracking start as Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu kicked off the show with an energetic Cha Cha.

The CBBC presenter had admitted he was "feeling nervous" at the thought of "starting from scratch" after impressing the judging panel in week one.

The 27-year-old looked super suave in a white and white tuxedo jacket and matching trousers as he danced away to Human Nature's Reach Out, I'll Be There.

After receiving a mixed reaction from the judges, Rhys still managed to bag a total score of 30.

Next up to take to the dance floor was former EastEnders star Nina Wadia and her partner Neil Jones, who danced the Tango.

Unfortunately the judging panel weren't entirely impressed as Craig Revel Horwood gave pretty bad feedback and the pair scored a total of just 18.

The celebs have been busy rehearsing all week, but one famous face who's been stuck at home is McFly star Tom Fletcher.

The father-of-three and his professional partner Amy Dowden both tested positive for Covid last weekend and were forced to miss out on this weekend's live show.

On Saturday afternoon, both stars took to Instagram to admit they were feeling fed up about being stuck at home.

Amy shared a sweet selfie of her and the Tom pre-Covid and captioned the post: "I can’t tell you how much I am missing today’s band call, hair and make up, dress run and the nerves of a live show!

"I can’t even begin to explain but so grateful to be able to return next week for movie week with the lovely @tomfletcher #mcflowden."

Amy then added: "Sending all my love and luck in the World to all the fabulous couples today.

"I’m going to be on the edge of my sofa shouting and supporting you all (you will probs hear me at Elstree)! Tune in tonight 18.45 for another great show."

Strictly Come Dancing: The Results airs Sunday at 7:05pm on BBC One.
