Strictly judges Shirley Ballas and Bruno Tonioli booed over harsh Chris Ramsey scores

Not for the first time this series, Bruno Tonioli was booed by the Strictly Come Dancing audience on Saturday night over his scores for Chris Ramsey.

Chris had just performed a Viennese Waltz to Queen's Somebody to Love with partner Karen Hauer before it was time for the Strictly judges to give their verdict and scores.

All four judges noted that Chris made a few too many mistakes during the routine, with Shirley sniping "it went on for a while!" and the head judge and colleague Bruno's comments were echoed in their low scores, as, while Craig, who told Chris he was proud of him, and Motsi both awarded a 7, they only gave Chris & Karen a 6.

The harsh scores prompted boos to ring out around the studio and picking up on that, Chris joked "stop booing you nutters, they'll take the scores back!"

Fans on Twitter also hit out at the judges. One ranted "Shirley is a joke. Chris Ramsey makes mistakes: 'too many mistakes for a semi final.' Emma makes mistakes: 'You made mistakes but you styled it out with everything else' .... WTF!? Clearly want Anton in the final."

Another unimpressed viewer reacted "Get Chris Ramsey to the final - Vote, Vote, Vote, because the judges won’t! "
