Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse reveals scores that could have changed the result

Absent Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse has revealed how she would have scored Saturday night’s dances, with her marks having the potential to produce a very different outcome had she been there.

Plenty of Strictly fans are still reeling from Tilly Ramsay and Rhys Stephenso n finding themselves in the bottom two, particularly Rhys after he and pro partner Nancy Xu scored 35 out of 40.

After both stars danced again, it was CBBC star Tilly, daughter of famous chef Gordon, who was given the boot from the ballroom along with her dance partner Nikita.

While he clearly has plenty of support out there, other viewers are annoyed that Dan Walker is still in the competition, despite never being near the bottom of the leaderboard.

He finished one point ahead of Tilly at the weekend, with a few eyebrows raised over Cynthia Erivo’s score of 9 for his and pro partner Nadiya’s routine.

Musical star Cynthia stood in for Motsi after she was forced to miss the show due to coming into contact with someone who tested positive for coronavirus.

But, despite not being ok the panel on Saturday, Motsi has been very public with how she’d have scored all the dances.

And her scores for Dan and Tilly could have altered things significantly.

Underneath a video of Dan’s routine posted on the Strictly Instagram, Motsi scores 8, and wrote the same score underneath a clip of Tilly’s performance.

That would have meant that Dan and Tilly would have swapped places on the leaderboard with her 30 becoming 31 and his 31 going down to 30.

Those standings would have meant Tilly would have an extra mark going into the public vote, giving her a stronger chance of not being in the bottom two.

Reacting to Motsi’s score for Dan one Strictly Dan wrote: “nothing more for sure. Like your honesty tonight.”

And then on her score for Tilly, another follower replied: “we needed you there instead of Cynthia” with a second telling her: “you’re the only rational judge.”

There are now just five couples left in the battle for this year’s Glitterball, with Rose and Giovanni the red hot favourites to win.
