Strictly judge Craig Revel Horwood forced to slash £525k off his £3.3m stately home

Strictly Come Dancing 's Craig Revel Horwood has been forced to slash £525,000 off the price of his house.

Craig’s six-bedroom Middlecot Manor is up for sale with the acid-tongued judge reducing the selling price from £3.3 million down to £2.75 million.

And it’s just the headache the 56-year-old didn’t want as he prepares to star in this year’s new series of the hit BBC One show.

Craig returns to the Strictly judging panel this month with 15 new celebrities competing to impress him and co-stars Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke with their moves.

Dropping the initial asking price of his home is hardly going to sit well with the TV star.

“Despite being a luxurious pad with a swimming pool and a glitzy interior decorated to his ostentatious taste, Craig wants more,” a source told The Sun.

“He’s said he wants a pad with even more bedrooms as well as moving closer to the family of his partner, Jonathan Myring, whose family live in Leicester.

"He’s serious about wanting to make the move and the fact he’s reduced the asking price is a reflection of that determination.”

Craig’s period manor is only ten years old despite its historic look, but comes with a state-of-the-art gym and hot tub.

The BBC star bought the plush pad in 2014 for £1.8 million, so even if he does sell for the new reduced prize he set to pocket a sizeable profit of circa £1 million.

Not a bad bit of business considering he’s only had the house seven years, although the stunning interior looks like Craig has spent some cash on renovating.

The outspoken Strictly judge used to live in Camden, London, before moving to Hampshire for a much more relaxed way of country life.

And he’s added his own touch of class to his home with vintage chandeliers, huge wine fridges and eye-catching mirrored floors.

But Craig revealed he still wants to relocate to the midlands, admitting: “It’s really lovely. Seven bedrooms, bigger pool…I’m upsizing.”

Craig’s house also comes with a host of designer bedrooms, a swimming pool and a spacious conservatory for entertaining guests.

And judging by the pics of the inside of his house, there’s plenty of space to unwind and enjoying company.

Craig has a giant kitchen and dining table to help him host dinner parties, as well plenty of bedrooms if friends want to crash for the night.

But Craig is hungry to find an even bigger pad so he can be closer to his partner Jonathan and his family.
