Strictly host Tess Daly left outraged by Craig Revel-Horwood's harsh comment to HRVY

Strictly host Tess Daly shouted at judge Craig Revel-Horwood during Saturday's live show after being left outraged by a comment he made to HRVY.

After finishing joint top of the leaderboard after the first two live shows, young singer HRVY was eager to impress again as he and partner Janette Manrara took to the ballroom to perform a Cha Cha Cha to Don't Go Breaking My Heart.

Tess asked always outspoken judge Craig, "did it put a smile on your face?" but was left shocked by his response.

With a stern look on his face, Craig replied: "I would like to have seen just one basic cha cha cha action throughout that," with Tess yelling "WHAT?!" before he added: "there wasn't one in there for me.

"The New York, your feet just need to be turned out a bit more so you don't look parallel. It looked a little bit awkward on you for some reason and I think that's due to the foot work and the straight leg to be honest.

Craig was then booed by other dancers as he awarded HRVY just a 6 and with Shirley giving a 7 and Motsi a 8, HRVY received his lowest score of the series so far.

Like Tess, Strictly viewers were quick to voice their annoyance. One ranted: "Craig needs glasses" and another posted: "Oh I’m bout to fight Craig. 6?!?! Nah."

A third tweeted: "Craig was a bit stingy with that 6 HRVY & Jeanette were great, I really enjoyed that"

Craig's harsh critique came after his judging colleague Shirley Ballas hit back at her critics after being booed for her comments to Jason Bell after his Paso Doble.

She responded: "I just say what I see darling!"
