Strictly host Tess Daly gives fans sneak peek look at final dress rehearsal

Tess Daly has given fans an insight into Strictly Come Dancing's last dress rehearsal ahead of tonight's final.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice will take on John Whaite and Johannes Radebe in the final of the BBC One show after AJ Odudu and Kai Widdrington were forced to pull out of the competition due to injury.

And host Tess has given a sneak peek look at the final dress rehearsals for the show.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Tess showed off what happens behind the scenes on the programme before it is beamed live to our homes later this evening.

Writing over the short video, where Tess can be seen rehearsing one of her links, she penned: "It's the final dress rehearsal of the season! So excited for tonight's show!"

She also used her Instagram stories to send her best wishes to the two finalists, as she wrote: "Good luck to our finalists - John Whaite and Johannes Radebe and Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice tonight for our live Strictly final. See you tonight at 7.10pm!"

Elsewhere today, Tess' co-host Claudia Winkleman has been hosting a show on BBC Radio 2 from her dressing room ahead of tonight's final, which is being broadcast live from Elstree Studios.

Joking about the broadcast, she shared a snap of the sign she had put on her door, which read: "Live broadcast on BBC Radio 2 in Claudia's dressing room. 10am - 1pm," as she dubbed the whole thing as "chaos".

Tess popped in to see Claudia as the pair chatted all things Strictly on the radio, whilst the presenter was also joined by judge Anton du Beke. Joking about the madness, she wrote: "Where worlds collide. Hoop earrings and radio equipment."

The pair can't wait for the final, with Tess recently describing this series as the best yet.

Rose will take on John in the final after AJ's exit (BBC)

"It's been a brilliant series this series. Honestly, hand on heart, I can say this has been the highest standard of dancing we've seen," she said, "We've had more 10s than we've ever had before in seventeen years of Strictly… so it's going to be dramatic I think on Saturday because in the semi final there was one point between all three couples. They've all topped the leaderboard, it could be anyone!"

Speaking before AJ's exit was confirmed, she added: "I genuinely don't know who [might win] none of us do, because they are so close in ability - AJ has had perfect scores of 40, but John has had more 39s than anyone else in the competition."

*The Strictly Come Dancing final airs tonight on BBC One at 7.10pm.
