Queensland Ballet dancers will perform Strictly Gershwin, a non-traditional piece that throws back to the big bands of the thirties and the golden age of George Gershwin.
Strictly Gershwin is choreographed by former English National Ballet artistic director Derek Deane, while the Queensland Symphony Orchestra will play the songs of George and Ira Gershwin with adaptations by Gareth Valentine. The work will include some of the best-known Gershwin works, including Rhapsody in Blue, Summertime and I Got Rhythm .
