Strictly fans wowed as Janette Manrara returns for sexy dance with husband Aljaz

Strictly Come Dancing stars shared their real-life romance on stage last night as Janette Manrara and her husband Aljaz Skorjanec reunited for a passionate performance.

Viewers of the 2021 Strictly finale were thrilled when the married dance stars took to the stage during Ed Sheeran's performance to deliver a steamy string of dance moves, before joining the group ensemble.

The duo signed up to the BBC dance show for its 11th series in 2013, and got married in 2017 - with a star studded reception including Strictly pros and pals.

Fans of the show will more recently have seen Janette presenting Strictly spin off show It Takes Two with Rylan after exiting the show.

Taking to Instagram ahead of the routine Janette wrote: "Dancing is how we met and fell in love. It's hard to express just how much our love is bounded by it….''

She gushed: "I have missed dancing w/ him more then I can explain; especially in such a beautiful ballroom like the one at @bbcstrictly.

"Tonight, for one night only, we are back in that beautiful ballroom dancing together…. and as if that was not enough, w/ one of our favourite artists @teddysphotos.

"It was truly a special moment for us. I hope you all enjoy it as much as we love performing it. And our #Strictly2021 champion will be crowned! What a night tonight will be!"

Janette told fans on Instagram she was thrilled to be back dancing with her man on the show (BBC)

The much-loved pair have been together since 2009 and have consistently avoided the infamous 'Strictly Curse'.

One fan commented: "I wanted a drink but got completely transfixed by and Janette," wrote on impressed fan.

Another shocked fan wrote: "Jeanette and ; HOLY S**T what a masterclass."

And a third added: "It’s a good job they’re married. That was something else ; and Janette. Brilliant."

They first met while performing in Broadway's Burn The Floor, and toured the world together - but with the tour drawing to a close Aljaz and Janette faced a difficult long-distance relationship before being offered auditions and subsequent roles on Strictly.

Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice became the winners of the 19th series of the BBC dance competition (PA)

Meanwhile fans of the show were mesmerised by the magic of Rose Ayling-Ellis and her pro-partner Giovanni Pernice who captured the audience's hearts to become winners.

They performed against finalists John Whaite, 32, and Johannes Radebe, who were praised by judges for the 'groundbreaking' roles - as the show's first ever all-male dance partnership - before they missed out on the top spot.

But last night, she made a sensational return.
