Strictly Come Dancing tour dates announced for Nottingham

AJ Odudu and her dance partner Kai Widdrington were devastated when they couldn't compete in Strictly Come Dancing's final at the weekend.

More than 11 million fans watched the final of TV's most spectacular sequin-filled show, which was won by EastEnders actress Rose Ayling-Ellis and her professional partner Giovanni Pernice.

But AJ, who had to pull out due to injury, and Kai will get the chance to perform the show dance they had lined up to Naughty Boy’s Runnin’ when they join next year's UK arena tour featuring an array of highlights from the series.

Rose and Giovanni will dance their couples' choice to Symphony by Clean Bandit which featured ten seconds of silence to demonstrate what it's like to be deaf. They will also perform the Argentine Tango.

Also taking part in the tour are Sara Davies and Aljaž Skorjanec, Tilly Ramsay and Nikita Kuzmin, Rhys Stephenson and Nancy Xu, and John Whaite and Johannes Radebe.

They will be joined by 2020 series competitor Max George who will return to the dancefloor for the live tour, dancing with Katya Jones.

Craig Revel Horwood, who directs the tour, said: "I was hugely disappointed that AJ and Kai missed the Strictly final.

"But audiences on the arena tour are in for a big treat, as they will get to see the show dance that AJ and Kai would have performed on Saturday night. Plus all the other celebs and pros have some A-MAZ-ING dances planned - it's going to be FAB-U-LOUS!"

As well as the couples’ dances, fans will have the chance to see some breath-taking group performances throughout the show.

The live tour judging panel will be made up of Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli with Janette Manrara joining the sparkling line-up as the new tour host.

There will be three Strictly shows at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena, on Wednesday February 9 at 7.30pm and Thursday February 10 at 2.30pm and 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £35 - £95 (price bands vary at each venue) and are subject to booking fees. For more information and to book tickets, visit strictlycomedancinglive.com
