Strictly fans shocked as Craig Revel Horwood makes a 'dig' at Anton Du Beke over Katie McGlynn's performance

Strictly Come Dancing fans were stunned as judge Craig Revel Horwood made a 'dig' at colleague Anton Du Beke during Saturday night's show.

Sharp-tongued Craig swiped at Anton after the judging panel newcomer admitted he might have dropped the ball while analysing Katie McGlynn and Gorka Marquez's performance.

The pair danced a high-energy jive to summer smash Good 4 U by Olivia Rodrigo with a high school theme.

Afterwards Anton, who replaced Bruno Tonioli for this year's series, said he didn't notice any mistakes in their routine and it might have been because he was making notes.

"Lucky for you I didn't actually notice the mistakes, I might have been jotting something down," he told the former Coronation Street actress and her pro dance partner.

A laughing Katie assured that he hadn't missed anything and that it was 'perfect.'

And Anton praised the Hollyoaks star's acting skills in the performance on the BBC dance show.

"I enjoyed the acting," he told her.

"You're a fine actress and you brought that to your performance."

But Craig wasn't impressed.

"You need to keep a watchful eye darling," he said.

And he added: "A little note for Anton."

The moment wasn't lost on host Claudia Winkleman who greeted Katie and Gorka with the words: "First things first, can somebody get Craig some chocolate?"

The pair scored 21 out of a possible 40 points from the four judges.

Fans took to Twitter to have their say.

"Bit rude of Craig to judge Anton's judging though!" said one.

"Definitely here for Craig and Anton beef," another tweeted.

"The beef between Craig & Anton is sending me," wrote another.

"Ooh Craig having a cheeky dig at Anton," another remarked.

Later Anton said 'Craig's just grumpy' after he gave just three points to actor Greg Wise after he paid tribute to his late sister Claire with an emotional disco routine to If You Could Read My Mind with his pro dance partner Karen Hauer.

Greg, who is married to Dame Emma Thompson, brought head judge Shirley Ballas close to tears with his moving dance.
